Big Guava 2016

Big Guava Music Festival Is Not Returning In 2016

by • January 17, 2016

Florida music fans take a hit to the heart as Live Nation confirms the huge music festival known for its unique variation in artists, Big Guava Music Festival, will not be happening in 2016.

MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre GM, David Harb explained the decision, via Tampa Bay Times:

Due to an overabundance of returning and new festivals [to] Florida in 2016, Live Nation has elected to take this year off with the Big Guava Festival in Tampa.”

The past three years the music festival has taken place in Tampa, FL. It aimed at younger audiences and tried to appeal to all music tastes, but it was especially known for indie rock fans. In the past years, Big Guava has hosted amazing artists like Passion Pit, The Strokes, Outkast, Vampire Weekend, Pixies, Chance the Rapper, Hozier, and so many more. Fans who enjoy this festival will have to look elsewhere this year. Other options for Florida fans could be Okeechobee, Moonstone, Wanee, Gasparilla, or Ultra Music Festival.
