Welcome to Rockville, Florida’s biggest and best metal/rock festival is returning to Jacksonville on the weekend of April 29-30, 2017. This will be the seventh coming of “Welcome to Rockville” and my fourth time attending. The lineup this year has many great bands headlining! One of my favorite grunge bands, Soundgarden, will rock out Saturday night, and Def Leppard will close out the show on Sunday. Between the two days over forty bands will be performing. Along with those headliners, A Perfect Circle and The Offspring will for sure put on amazing sets. I grew up with The Offspring’s Smash being one of my favorite albums even though I was only 12. I have only been able to see The Offspring once and can’t wait to see them perform again. I was supposed to originally see them back at Earthday Birthday in 2013 but couldn’t pass up going to our very own Trevor Bosmans‘ wedding. 😉

In addition, Mastadon, Chevelle, Papa Roach, Seether, and Alter Bridge will all be tearing up the stage. There are only a few bands that I haven’t seen yet in this lineup. I’m excited to check out Eagles of Death Metal, Highly Suspect and Dinosaur Pile-Up. If you have never seen Nothing More make sure you’re at their set, they put on a great show along with their great music. If you’re looking for one of the hardest and best mosh pits to be in, then Beartooth is a must-see. Every time I see this band something in the crowd amazes me. This past year they had a circle pit around the entire A/V stand which nearly engulfed the entire crowd.
