TOOL & PRIMUS Live Preview | Coming to CFE Arena, Orlando | January 28, 2016

Tool have confirmed several dates for their upcoming US tour, which includes a stop in Central Florida at CFE Arena at the University of Central Florida campus on Thursday, January 28, 2016. The band promises this tour will be an “unparalleled sonic and visual experience.” Each show will see Tool “dwarfed by dramatic video projections,” according to the band’s Facebook page. Additionally, the opening acts “will in all likeliness be exciting to many Tool enthusiasts.” Direct support will come from Primus. Also appearing on the bill is the Los Angeles-based industrial-metal foursome 3TEETH. Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 4, at 10:00 AM EST.

Recently, Tool headlined the Monster Mash festival on Halloween at Tempe Beach Park in Tempe, Arizona, with Primus and Coheed & Cambria. The day before, Primus played the Suwannee Hulaween festival at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. The festal included many national acts such as The String Cheese Incident, Pretty Lights, Sound Tribe Sector 9, Lettuce, Railroad Earth, The New Mastersounds, The Nth Power, Tauk, Dopapod, Dumpstaphunk, Stick Figure and Slightly Stoopid. Tool finally settled a long and complicated lawsuit which has continuously set back the band’s recording plans, but they are now reportedly working hard for their first new studio release since 2006. Singer Maynard James Keenan’s side project, Puscifer, just released their third studio album, Money Shot, on October 30 and are currently on tour now.
