It’s about fun and fuck ups. Don’t you ever forget it!” Exclaimed the lead singer, Justin. The Vaccines out sell out arenas in the UK, they had a Number One album over there in 2012, and were they just the main opened support for The Rolling Stones when they played at Hyde Park in July, no big deal right?

Well, they just playing The fucking Social! [and it wasn’t even sold out]. Perk your ears up America!

They’ve been touring the states, playing sold out arena shows with Mumford & Sons. The next night after the social, they played in St. Augustine with Mumford as part of the Gentlemen of The Road Stopover.

Justin mentioned “This is our first Florida show, and our first headlining show in a while! He and the band rocked The Social like they’re in front of 100,000 people. You can tell they really fucking love what they do. Love.

They started their set with breakneck headbanging to the tune of Blow It Up. A tune I wouldn’t have suspected to be such a “headbanger.” Well, he proved me wrong. Dead wrong. Here’s a shitty pic:

The energy of their live show is not fully captured in their studio album. If this was your favorite band and you knew all the songs, you would pee yourself watching them rock the fuck out playing them. Yeah, it’s that good.

Justin’s vocals delivered a perfectly accented howl as it came through the speakers. It gives me chills and pumps me up. He was a sweaty mess. It was awesome. I’m sure his sweat contributed to his comment “Fuck it, I’ll die for Orlando” in response to multiple shocks from the microphone.

When they played their song, Wetsuit, the crowd was encouraged to put their hands up, we all obliged. It was quite beautiful. Here’s a shitty pic:

The infectious, tongue in cheek, hit If You Wanna, did not disappoint. The crowd erupted. I took a short (15 sec.) video of it on the ShowsIGoTo Instagram. But you can watch a video of them playing it at the sold out O2 arena below. The Vaccines If You Wanna Video:

There was a lot of love in the air at the show. Couples galore. I rode solo, like normal, “people watching” in the least creepy way possible (if that’s possible). When the they played their song Post Breakup Sex, the hook going “Post breakup sex, makes you forget your ex…” I noticed a little bit of squirming from a few couples around the room… Oh young love. They’ll get it one day. I thought it was worth a Spanish laugh… jajaja.

Shit. No one plays music like The Vaccines in the states. If so, let me know, cause I’m missing out or they’re not doing it right. I especially liked their drummer. Specifically, his drum solo. I’m such a sucker for a good drum solo, aren’t you?

They came back for an encore and ended with the hit Nørgaard. Which was written about the beautiful Danish model, Amanda Nørgaard, and features her in the video. Totaling one minute, thirty nine seconds, it’s worth a watch. The Vaccines Nørgaard Video:

After the show, I stumbled accross the street to visit my good friend Todd, at The Vegan Hot Dog Cart. It’s $4 bones. Get the Cajun Dog. Add all the toppings. Speaking the toppings bar: Holy Shit. It rules. Here’s a pic of one w/ Jalapenos, Banana Peppers, Veganese, Sriracha, Sauerkraut, and Sweet Thai Chili Sauce:

After I shoved my tasty meatless creation down my gullet, I added some Whiskey and Beer to the pit at Lizzy’s next door. Go check out The Vaccines, eat a Vegan Dog. Fin.
