Last night I had the pleasure of catching a few jam bands play at a local, but world-famous venue called The Social. I arrived as the opening band, The Daniel Heitz band, were performing their last song. From what I heard and from the little I saw, they were all hell-of talent musicians and I’m disappointed I missed so much of them. The two-band bill that night featured the next band that came on which is one of Lindsay’s favorites, Orlando’s own, The Stereo Type.
While The Stereo Type was setting up, The Social began to fill up FAST. By the time they took the stage, the venue had almost completely filled out and the guys were ready to bring their jams. During their performance, I found myself realizing that these guys are freaking talented! The five guys in the band seemed so relaxed as they were jamming and having a good time. It appeared as if they were had been playing with each other for years. Some good jams mixed with some cold drinks from the bar always make for a good night. I’m sure I’ll be seeing their name more and more and if you’re ever out and about and catch one of their shows! I was far from disappointed.
