I’ve been hearing a lot of great things about this band Smallpools from Los Angeles, California. Mitch caught them at Big Guava Music Festival earlier this month and he loved them. They’ve been grabbing a lot of people’s attention with their pop-influenced indie rock off their 2013 self-titled EP. They delivered one of my favorite songs at the moment, “Dreaming,” which was a clear hit. It was everybody else’s favorite judging by the amount of people singing along with them at the show.

Planted firmly behind his keyboard, Sean Scanlon belted out the lyrics to songs from their no-so-extensive music catalog and really got the crowd pumped for the main act of the night, Neon Trees, on the “Pop Psychology Tour.” I will most definitely catch Smallpools next time they come to town! 🙂
