HFS! Slipknot will be spending the summer on a headlining tour with support from Marilyn Manson! I already know this will be one of the best shows of the summer. These two are purely monumental 90’s metal nostalgia that have endured the scene for over twenty years. This show is going to be a twisted insane circus as the Masked Menace Nine and the God Of Fuck are teaming up to tear it all down. Also on the bill supporting the tour is special guest Of Mice and Men. The tour will reach every corner of the country, from Florida to California, from New York to Washington, so no area is being left out of this badass mayhem. No amphitheater is safe. It all begins June 9th in Salt Lake City and closes out with a hometown show for Slipknot in Des Moines, Iowa on August 5th.

Manson recently said on Instagram: “Marilyn Manson back on tour with Slipknot again probably just made God call the suicide hotline. No other truly dangerous people own the stage these days, so I figured we would save him the trouble.” Manson hit the road with Smashing Pumpkins last summer to support his latest LP, The Pale Emperor.

Slipknot released their latest album .5: The Gray Chapter in October 2014 and was the band’s first release in six years, following the 2010 death of bassist Paul Gray and the 2013 dismissal of drummer Joey Jordison. In a a recent interview, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor made some comments in which he said that “might step away” from the band at some point in the future. Asked on the “Someone Who Isn’t Me” podcast if he thought he will ever get “tired of touring,” Taylor replied, “Honestly, if you’d asked me a year ago, I would have said no. But… I’m just kind of starting to. I’m forty-two; I’m not young anymore. And as willing as my will is, I’m just beat up, man. I mean, I might as well be sixty in Slipknot years, for Christ’s sake.” Taylor added: “I don’t know if I would retire. I might step away from Slipknot at some point, just because the way the music is, and that sense of energy, I don’t know if I could be able to do that into my fifties. And I would never want the band to feel like I was holding them back, because I just couldn’t physically do it. So that means I wouldn’t completely quit music; I would probably just step away from Slipknot.” Taylor would later take to twitter to clarify his comments, saying: “I’M NOT QUITTING SLIPKNOT. Listen to/read interviews IN CONTEXT not out. I talk about time off. This is why I dislike ‘cut n paste’ journos.”
