My initial experience with Onward, Etc came this year at Warped Tour 2015 in Orlando, FL at the Full Sail Acoustic Tent. I had been feeling pretty heat exhausted, and decided to duck in and take a breather before heading back out into the thick of things. Let me tell you, that was probably the best decision I had made all day. I ended up staying the rest of the day, listening to the acoustic acts. One of the best musicians there was this guy who looked like a cowboy, but sang like a god. Rosco Wuestewald was his name, and he was the lead singer/guitarist of a project called Onward, etc.

The first thing that he did was ask all of us to stand up, even though we were hot and exhausted, because he was nervous, and wanted to make sure we listening, in the best way possible. After he began to get more comfortable, Rosco began to play, and for the next 30 minutes, he regaled us with songs and stories about his life, from his life in the Dakotas to running away to Alaska when he was in his teens and living alone up there, and starting a band when he returned to the Midwest.
With a sound that was a mix of Mumford and Sons with more emotion, Frank Turner if he was a cowboy, and some good old fashioned Larry and His Flask, Rosco really sold the group to me, and hopefully quite a few in the crowd. I spoke to him after, and he was even more genuine in person than he was on stage, and I truly admired that about him. I’m really excited to see the whole band Saturday, October 3, 2015 at The Local 662, and I hope that you can join me, and revel in the beautiful music and tales that is Onward, Etc.
