The North Beach Music Festival is taking over the North Beach Bandshell December 11 -12, 2021 (GET TICKETS HERE). A two day affair, NBMF features the musical stylings of the always funky: Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. These guys headline Red Rocks, have played halftime at Madison Square Garden, and they have been on Adult Swim! Did I mention they host their own music festival, DOMEFEST, every year? Two sets from Spafford, both an all-improvisational set and one with an all star cast of artists from this weekend. I hope the Spaffnerds are ready, because Brian Moss (lead guitar) and friends are going to bring the heat! The Motet are showing off their new guitarist, Collin Miller, while Tauk and Aqueous blaze a trail to the beach. Check out this stellar North Beach Music Festival lineup:

Oh did I mention there is a beautiful beach? Patrons are encouraged to bring their bathing suits and take a dip in the ocean while they enjoy the sounds of this solid lineup. Don’t worry — you can leave and come back until 5:30pm each day, when they start to bring out the biggest names out on stage. The music never overlaps, so you’ll hardly miss a thing at this two-day, two-stage celebration of music!

The North Beach Bandshell is an open-air amphitheater in the heart of Miami Beach’s North Beach neighborhood. It has been managed by the Rhythm Foundation — a Miami Beach-based nonprofit cultural organization for the City of Miami Beach since 2015. Bandshell Park also features domino pavilions, and a CMB Arts in Public Places-commissioned glass tile mandala created by artist Kevin Arrow, memorializing the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ first performance in the US at the nearby Deauville Hotel. Pick-up volleyball games go on in the Beach Bowl courts, just behind the park, and beach goers can enjoy the Beach Walk, a wide paved path which currently connects Allison Park and its life-size turtle sculptures on 62nd Street and the North Shore Open Space Park at 81st Street.
