They are currently on tour in support of their new album Daybreaker, released October 2015 on BMG.

These guys have toured extensively to embed their progressive art rock into the jam band scene. Hailing from Nashville, the five-piece formed in 2006 and have released three albums: Cabaret (2012), Mountains Beaches Cities (2013), and Daybreaker (2015). The new album has eleven tracks and showcases exactly why Moon Taxi have become known as THE live band. During recording, all five members were together in the studio, performing and rehearsing as a band rather than self-producing bits and pieces at home… a first for the group. Keys player Wes Bailey says “As a whole, Daybreaker sounds like a performance to me. You can hear fingers moving, breathing and all the other subtle sounds that one would hear at a live performance.”

Check out the playlist clips below from their set at the 2012 Bear Creek Music Festival (which includes a sick cover of Nine Inch Nails “Closer”) and also from their October 2014 show at House of Blues Orlando, thanks to The Sober Goat!
