In Flames was formed by cornerstone member and guitarist Jesper Strömblad in 1990 and currently consists of lead singer Anders Fridén, bassist Bryce Paul, and drummer Tanner Wayne.

If you’re already excited to go to the show and you’ve already started listening to In Flames, you might notice they kinda sound like fellow bands Dark Tranquillity and At the Gates. This is because these three bands are considered to be the pioneers of not only Swedish metal, but the entire genre of melodic-death metal! The founding members of all three bands grew up as friends and lived in Gothenburg, Sweden before spreading their glorious metal around the globe. First ABBA and now these guys? I am convinced only the best music comes out of Sweden.

In Flames has found great success over the years. They won the “Best international Band” award from the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards in 2008, and three Grammis! No, not Grammy, the Grammis is the Swedish equivalent. They won their first Grammis for Best Hard Rock/Metal Album for Soundtrack to Your Escape in 2005, another Grammis in 2006, and their most recent win being in 2007 for Best Hard Rock/Metal Album for the album Come Clarity. Today, In Flames has over 2 million in sales worldwide and seven songs on the Billboard 200.

In Flames recently released three singles for the upcoming 2023 album entitled Foregone. If you have never heard of In Flames and need a place to start, this single is perfect. There is a headbang worthy melody in the song “Foregone Pt. 1”, and the songs “The Great Deceiver” and “State of Slow Decay” show you the fast paced and epic performance you are in for this concert.
