Deranged stage antics, wild attire, loud noises, a savage underground reputation… these are just a few things that electronic hardcore punk-rap group Ho99o9 embody. Ho99o9 (pronounced Horror and also known as HO99O9 DEATH KULT) use no guitars at their shows. They’re not a band as much as they are performance artists. Rapper and DJ, TheOGM, is equipped with a creepy mask, plastic tentacles on his fingers, and who knows what else. Que the thrashing fuzzy sounds which trigger co-performer Eaddy to scream and jolt across the stage in in a suit, or wedding dress, or army outfit, or who knows what else.
They recently supported The Dillinger Escape Plan on their final UK tour in January 2017. Eaddy started off the tour in Norwich by jumping straight into the audience landing on 3 peoples heads and then running and tackling people through the audience.
At Insane Clown Posse’s Gathering of the Juggalos Festival in 2015, they came out on stage to a small crowd that turned into a pretty serious face-painted mosh pit. They were doing back flips, jumping off amps, and Eaddy jumped into the crowd and returned to the stage covered in dirt and bleeding from the mouth.

Ho99o9 formed in Newark, New Jersey before relocating to Los Angeles in 2014. They soon gained a cult following and attracted collaborators such as Ian Longwell who plays drums and produces for Santigold. There were one of Rolling Stone’s “10 New Artists You Need to Know” in 2014 and The Guardian’s “New Band of the Week”. Ho99o9 has released two EPs, Mutant Freax and Horrors of 1999, accompanied by grindhouse-style music videos, and their first full-length album, United States of Horror, was just released on May 5th. Ho99o9 describe their new release:
Our debut album is a crossbreed mutant, and we’re very delighted to finally bring this destructive & uplifting body of work into the light. This record was made to be listened to “LOUD AS FUCK” and only can truly be enjoyed on high volume. If this doesn’t make you want to smash your face through a car window you are wasting your time. If you are offended by any of the content being with this album then I am truly sorry, just kidding… we don’t give a fuck. It will be fascinating to some, hateful to others, grateful to all, positive for us/we. Horror music for bad and good people and everything else in between.”
Injury Reserve is an Arizona hip hop trio formed in 2014. They released their second studio album, Floss, on December 15, 2016, through a variety of digital platforms. The album featured Vic Mensa and Cakes Da Killa.
