Park Ave CDs — Orlando

 

Since 1984, our friends at Park Ave CDs have provided the best new & used CDs, DVDs, Vinyl LPs, and t-shirts, books, posters, magazines, concert tickets, and other cool gifts filling the shelves!

Park Ave CDs often has free in-store performances called “Live At Park Ave” and past performances have featured The Gaslight Anthem, Manchester Orchestra, RX Bandits, Brand New, The 1975, Machine Gun Kelly, Rocky Votolato, Fitz & The Tantrums, The Matches, The Weeks, The Temper Trap, Band Of Horses, Jose Gonzalez, Snow Patrol, Chuck Ragan, Tegan & Sara, Real Friends, Sleeping With Sirens, Beach Slang, Thrice, New Found Glory, The Fratellis, Frank Turner, The Front Bottoms, Hundred Waters, Childish Gambino, The Beatles, and a ton more (well, not really The Beatles, but you get the point, they rule!).

Lizzy McCormack’s Irish Bar — Downtown Orlando

We’ve hung out with so many bands at Lizzy McCormack’s, it’s surreal. From doing shots with Lucero, to drinking Irish Car Bombs with Minus The Bear, to running into Brian from The Front Bottoms, it’s always a comfortable, fun atmosphere. This is our escape, our home, our neighborhood pub in the middle of downtown.

If you’ve never had a pudding shot, please go try one. Also, Jameson is very nice. 😎

DaddyKool Records — St. Pete

 

The original Daddy Kool Records opened in Bradenton in 1985. It was an immediate hit with local musicians and fans, and the shop’s success only grew as it relocated to Sarasota a few years later, where it remained the heart of the area’s underground music scene for nearly 15 years.

In 1999, a second Daddy Kool opened in downtown St. Petersburg, just down the street from the city’s historic State Theatre — home to countless No Clubs concerts — and immediately became a preferred destination for fans, musicians, and artists alike.

Now, Daddy Kool’s flagship store is in a larger space across the street from its original St. Pete location (666 Central Ave). With an even larger inventory and knowledgeable staff, it remains one of Florida’s most popular independent music shops. Daddy Kool enthusiastically supports its fellow local businesses, and takes part in events large and small, from homegrown music festivals and in-store appearances to annual Record Store Day shenanigans.

American Combat Club — Orlando

American Combat Club is one of the best MMA gyms in Orlando, FL. Mitch and Sarah have full time memberships. The attention you receive in group classes often feels like one-on-one time. We love it here so hopefully you do too!

American Combat Club in Orlando is co-owned by former World Lightweight Kickboxing Champion, Mike “Little Giant” Bell (he held the belt from 1980-1991!).

Tim Can Fix It’s Computer Repair — Orlando

Shows I Go To relies on working machines. We need fast processing, working screens, and a lot of storage space. Tim is the most knowledgeable person I know when it comes to computer hardware. He can dissect a machine, replace a screen, upgrade the RAM, and BAM you’re computer is somehow better than it was when you bought it new!

He helps us purchase new computers for our team and makes sure our babies are up to date and running healthy. If you’re in the market for a new machine, looking to upgrade the guts of your current device, or if it’s just running slow and needs a good scrub, Tim is your guy. (Serious love this dude!)
