Glenn Danzig turned 60 this summer and shows no signs of stopping the rocking. He and his blues heavy metal rockers in Danzig just started their 18-date “Blackest Of The Black Tour” with support from Superjoint Ritual, Veil of Maya, Prong and Witch Mountain. All of this should make for a high octane rock show when it comes to Hard Rock Live Orlando on Monday, October 12th.

In addition to working on a new Danzig album, he is working on a covers album, titled Skeletons, that’s expected to be released in late November. You can definitely expect to hear something from the upcoming album, which will include his take on songs by Black Sabbath, ZZ Top, The Troggs, and The Everly Brothers. Danzig said in Rolling Stone, “I had titled it Skeletons before the makeup, to be like ‘skeletons in your closet…’ It’s like pulling out old songs.” He went on to say that if he can make people forget whatever they’re dealing with for an hour and a half, two hours every night, that’s nice. I couldn’t agree more.

If for some reason you don’t know, Glenn is founder of Danzig as well as previous horror punk rockers, the Misfits and Samhain. The singer also owns the Evilive record label as well as Verotik, an adult-oriented comic book publishing company. The “Blackest Of The Black Tour” first started in 2003, and appeared again in 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2010. Danzig is joined by Superjoint Ritual, led by Philip Anselmo from Pantera, who recently reunited in 2014 started playing shows with unofficial rumors of work on new music.

The tour began this past weekend Phoenix and ends Halloween in Los Angeles.
