Eyes have been on us. The world has been watching Orlando, treating us with a gentle touch like that of a duck in an oil spill. They’ve run tears down our backs and helped allow the hate to roll right off. As a city, we have shown ourselves to be pillars of character, building angel wings to block bigotry and tolling bells of hope into the night. Once again, however, we find our cozy, Southern quarter of the U.S. in need of help and love. And once again, Will’s Pub, Orlando’s most kind-hearted watering hole, has risen to the occasion.

The Mills Ave. institution will host bands and artists to help raise money for those affected by the severe flooding in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. ALL of the tickets and art sales will go to TOGETHER BATON ROUGE, an organization who’s core philosophy’s believes in citizen leadership.

We identify, bring together and develop leaders across our communities so that we can accomplish more together than we could apart.”

Although they’re not inside of our sweltering Florida borders, we come together as a community from afar to give aid.

The cause alone would be enough to hook a person but the bands, have put a very delicious proverbial cherry on top of this outreach event. Will’s has booked for your viewing and listening pleasure a plethora of musicians who will make you feel like you’re in the Crawfish Capital yourself. Beth McKee, Brown Bag Brass Band, Gypsy Elise & Ryan, Milk Carton Superstars, Ken Gustafson, Joe “Survival” Caruso, and Sybil Gage Trio are all set to take the stage from 5pm until a little past midnight. Everything during this charity evening will be regionally inspired by the Bayou area so come out to Will’s Pub and spread some Baton Rouge love! <3 BUY TICKETS BELOW <3
