Alyson and Amanda Joy Michalka, “Aly and AJ” are sisters turned bandmates. They are known for their infectious pop anthems. These two sisters have been in the music industry for over a decade and have a string of accomplishments to their name. Aly and AJ first made waves in 2005 with their debut album, Into the Rush. The album includes several hits, including “Potential Breakup Song” and “Rush,” both of which remain fan favorites to this day.

Since then, the sisters have continued to release chart-topping hits, including “Like Whoa,” “Chemicals React,” and “Take Me.” Their music has been featured in various TV shows and movies, including “Cow Belles,” “Phil of the Future,” and “Wizards of Waverly Place,” cementing their status as pop culture icons. But Aly and AJ are more than just talented musicians. They’re also known for their philanthropic work, supporting various causes such as clean water initiatives, mental health awareness and women’s health clinics.

The sisters told People Magazine that the album is a travelogue that Aly and AJ liken to a series of postcards to fans from each town they’ve seen in their journey. “It’s an ode to the people who have kept with us for so long, and to the new fans who have just started listening,” AJ says. “We’re bringing our California sunshine to them and they’re bringing it to us,” Aly adds, “The album showcases their new signature sound and has themes of creative strides as siblings.”
